Louise Westoby: Hi. Everyone! Welcome to our Webinar today. Product. Update for Q. Three, two thousand and twenty two data applications, components and marketplace. My name is Louise Westerby, and I'm. In Cortis, vp. Of product marketing, and i'll be your moderator for today

Louise Westoby: I'd like to introduce our speakers. So first of all, is J. Pong Tong, our senior product Manager Jay Fong, is a data-driven product manager who is over seven years experience, creating and launching enterprise-level solutions in the data and analytics space.

Louise Westoby: Among other things, she is very focused on building world-class application marketplace in the in quarter cloud, and will be giving us a great demonstration about today.

Louise Westoby: Mohit Soggy is our Vp. Of product. He has over twenty years of experience in the product management, with strong background and building and managing the data and analytics, platforms and solutions.

Louise Westoby: So without further ado, I will hand it over to Mohit to kick us off.

Mohit Saggi: All right. Thanks, thanks for us, and thanks everyone for joining today. Um! The key thing for for today's Webinar, as as Louise mentioned, is to to go over to some of the some of the key enhancements that that we are planning to roll out uh in in queue three queue for timeframe.

Mohit Saggi: So, as part of it, we'll, we'll go over uh the data applications and the and the new applications that we are planning for for Q. Three. Will We will also cover some of the new components that we have added as part of as part of Q. Three. And And what's coming next with the with the data components,

Mohit Saggi: and then we'll also cover some of the enhancements that we are making to the to that so plugin,

Mohit Saggi: and then last, last, but not least, we'll. We'll cover the marketplace um and and and how you can leverage marketplace, both as customer and partner, to to to build and deploy applications and components within within encoder.

Mohit Saggi: So uh, you know, before before I get into the uh, the the presentation I just wanted to uh clarify that What we are going to share today is, is for information purposes, and it's it's not a commitment to to deliver any any features uh as as laid out in the

Mohit Saggi: um. And now and actually, before I before I get into the data applications, which is the first topic for for this Webinar,

Mohit Saggi: I I also wanted to uh set a quick context uh on on on what Encoder is, and and one of the problems that that includes solving when it when it comes to data and analytics. So for those who are new or or or seeing you. Report are the very first time,

Mohit Saggi: you know, in coda, in coda key value, Pop is is providing an operational analytic system that that not only covers the

Mohit Saggi: the the operational efficiency use cases, but but also some of the advanced analytics use cases that are that are needed to give a holistic view to the, to the to the users. So so in this uh what i'll do is i'll i'll. I'll use financial, uh, or office, or of finance as a

Mohit Saggi: as an example. But but that's not to say that in product cannot about other use cases. It's just an example that i'm going to use to sort of uh demonstrate the value prop that it'll go up next to the table, as well as the the the new advancements that we are adding um as part of Q. Three, and and rest of the season.

Mohit Saggi: So

Mohit Saggi: so when you, when you look at a office of finance. You know there are. There are. There are multiple processes, and there's in in that landscape right? So you have your erps and crm systems, you know, such as oracle,

Mohit Saggi: you know what day uh salesforce dot com uh which which are sort of used to to to uh to manage the day to day operations. Right? So all of your one of your transactions like you purchase all the sales orders. You know that the employees and the payments uh happens in this in the Crb systems,

Mohit Saggi: and then on top of it. You also have some of the enterprise performance management applications such as you know the black line. Adaptive insights, you know, Oracle, Hyperion, Cloud,

Mohit Saggi: and and and those are those are used for for for office, within office of violence to to help consolidate and and and build planning and budgeting use cases, right? So

Mohit Saggi: So so a lot of lot of the data in these applications are sort of pre aggregated or generated through the application itself. So when it comes to reporting right when it comes to reporting, financial users have

Mohit Saggi: different type of use cases. They not only want to see the data in real time, from the from the Erp systems to to

Mohit Saggi: to to to look at and and and manage their operations. They also they also have a requirement to then reconsider that operational data with this performance management application data to make sure that you know all the data from from from all the way from the top to the bottom uh ties up um when when it comes to financial reporting,

Mohit Saggi: but because of how the data is stored and shared across these applications.

Mohit Saggi: What you usually end up with with is a very fragmented system, where there is no single source of growth, and and parents always have to constantly struggle with inconsistent definitions. You know, errors, delays, and and and added calls due to data sitting in in these multiple systems.

Mohit Saggi: So, in fact, as for the study done by work day, you know, final schemes on an average, are actually spending three fourth of their time in in data preparation and in cleansing activities, and only one fourth of the time in actually

Mohit Saggi: analyzing and and and and generating insights from the data.

Mohit Saggi: So in in kind of, you know, brings a a unique and and innovative approach to solving these these problems for office of finance right in, go up

Mohit Saggi: in coda combines both operational and analyt and advanced analytic capabilities under under one one platform, and that provides a holistic view of data in real time in its original form,

Mohit Saggi: so which then enables, you know, F. A. P. And a team to to to freely explore data. You know, drill in any direction, and quickly find answers to the to the new questions without having to to to go back and constantly, uh, you know, update the the data pipelines or the or the on the report

Mohit Saggi: and given you always help

Mohit Saggi: access to one hundred percent of the data and include the same data, can then be leveraged to feed into performance management, application to to to help shorten, You know the consolidation and and reconciliation cycles. Right? So, so, so, so in this way, you know, in coda sort of becomes a a data Hub.

Mohit Saggi: Uh for for all of the used cases that that a typical office of balance is looking for, You know whether it be, you know, ingesting data from the Erp data sources, analyzing data, or then um, you know later, feeding that data into into downstream applications such as

Mohit Saggi: so. So this brings us to the main topic of the Webinar, which is, which is data applications right? So how does how does data application fit into this.

Mohit Saggi: So So, even though you know, in Kola, makes it super easy for you to source data and build analytics, you still need a subject matter expertise and and understanding of of the underlying data structure in Erp and crm applications

Mohit Saggi: to be to be, then build such solutions right? And And usually this means, you know, hiring army of consultants with with hundreds and thousands of dollars to to to implement uh just a simple dashboard. Right? So So this So the data apps that can actually help you accelerate that that entire process. Right? The data apps comes

Mohit Saggi: with hundreds of pre-built insights, dashboards that provide instant visibility into key metrics and and business drivers across,

Mohit Saggi: You know, variety of business processes, such as you know, operational efficiency, budgeting and planning account reconciliation and Peter close right.

Mohit Saggi: And these data apps are are purpose to to support financial, financial and other supply chain use cases and and covers all the cool modules.

Mohit Saggi: But then, within, within, within, within these domains. Right? So so you know, we have data for general Manager. We have data app for all the all the main sub ledges right? So your tables disabled, fixed assets. We also covered um,

Mohit Saggi: you know some supply chain use cases such as you know auto management, uh, you know, procurement inventory. And then last, but not least, we, we. We also have data apps for for for manufacturer.

Mohit Saggi: And these these these data apps, these individual data apps are not built in Silo. Right? So so. So. So the way the data apps are designed, you know it. It sort of aligns very closely with with how your business processes are right. So if you are, for instance, um a supply chain uh manager,

Mohit Saggi: or leading a supply chain function in your organization, you would be able to you. You want to. You want to see the entire supply chain process, and and we find gaps or issues within that process which usually starts

Mohit Saggi: uh from auto-generation all the way to the to the auto full. So so data apps actually covers that entire process right, even though it touches multiple modules

Mohit Saggi: um in the in the in the erp application. But the way the data apps are designed you could actually use data apps to to to provide L. Two and analytics aligned to to your own business processes.

Mohit Saggi: Um. So here is a

Mohit Saggi: you know. Here is a quick sample of what is included in in in tables Module. So so these are. These are production very end-to-end data app like, I said, you know and and includes everything that you need to deploy these data apps in your environment. So all the way from

Mohit Saggi: data to the dashboard right now. Now that being said, I think we understand that every every business is different.

Mohit Saggi: Um. So so data apps that that come out of the box are are fully extensible, and it can be customized to to meet your own business requirements. Right? So so if you have a need to sort of go in and change um the the the aging bucket definitions right you you could. You could easily do that

Mohit Saggi: within the within the data app uh using using our our business view and the semantic. So so that does not mean that you're customizing the data. You're just, you know.

Mohit Saggi: Still continue to leverage the foundational pieces and just tweeting the data app in the business um business layer to to to align with with what your business requirements are.

Mohit Saggi: Um. And and these data acts are not built in vacuum, right? And what I mean by that is that you know the data apps have been in place for for for more than five years, and and these have been field us still and and hardened through hundreds of customers and and partner departments. And we have,

Mohit Saggi: we have some of the most uh innovative companies and global brands using these data apps, right? So if you look at the the mid market, you know, we have companies like and phase keysite, dilute and and other creators. And then,

Mohit Saggi: you know, the fourteen thousand category includes, you know, complex Pesticide, Netflix and Starbucks, and and many mode. Actually

Mohit Saggi: so.

Mohit Saggi: And here is a quick case study that I wanted to share with you all, just to sort of give you idea on where Comcast was, and what was the value

Mohit Saggi: that that that you could have brought to the table for them. Right so so Comcast is, you know, as you can imagine, is a big media giant, you know, had a very, very complex analytics requirements right? That included two thousand users. Uh, you know,

Mohit Saggi: close to two to two thousand reports and tables that that that they needed to extract, to to build the analytics for for their for their users. But but but they were. They were struggling quite a bit with with, with, with those requirements right? I mean one. They they had a very um

Mohit Saggi: long wait times when it comes to you. You know, building the new reports. It it was taking, on an average, nine days to to build a like a fairly complex report,

Mohit Saggi: and then they were. They would also limited by how much of the data that they can bring into the system and at board frequency. Right? So majority of the cases they were limited to once or once a day daily.

Mohit Saggi: Um, once a day. Data note. Um. So so. So. So when when they implemented in, you know they were able to go from uh, you know nine days to to less than a day. It takes to to, to, to, to, to, to, to pull the report, and then, you know, share it with their users.

Mohit Saggi: Um! They were able to move to a a a fifteen minute uh incremental uh data load cycles instead of once a day, so So that means they were, instead of, you know, loading data once a day they were able to load it ninety-six times a day, which which which provided their users with the most up to data

Mohit Saggi: uh most up to date data in in in their in their dashboard.

Mohit Saggi: And and and they were also, you know, given the simplicity of of of the coda, they were also able to reduce uh, not of man hours on a on a monthly basis. Right so they were they were able to, you know, get everything done with much fewer resources than it would

Mohit Saggi: what what it was taking before, with the with, the with the holder or the legacy solution.

Mohit Saggi: And all of this resulted actually in in over a million dollars savings for for context, which included both the the licensing as well as the the resources they took to to implement the solution

Mohit Saggi: so so hopefully that that that help everybody sort of understand what data apps are, and you know what is the what is the value that it brings to the table

Mohit Saggi: uh next. What I wanted to do was to cover the the the data components. Right? So so this is another key area for us. Um, where um, you know, it shows you uh providing a a simple self-service. Uh we for end users to to be able to, you know, build insights and dashboards

Mohit Saggi: in in coda, you know whether whether it be using, you know, excel, plugin, or or or or in fact, even you know power by the power Bi and Tablo. We also have this this thing called component sdk, which which could actually let

Mohit Saggi: your your developers, or the the developers or engineers, and all of us um to to sort of build uh their own uh customized visualizations which can then be used to to to sort of analyze data and input right. So

Mohit Saggi: so so what it does is it? It provides a a development kit that that developers can use it. It it it it it leverages um, you know the the react framework and and all the

Mohit Saggi: all the front end um languages and and and solutions that that you are aware of, uh to to to build these components. And then, uh, you know, with the marketplace that we are. We are launching for the components uh, and users can can easily,

Mohit Saggi: you know, browse the marketplace uh

Mohit Saggi: uh search for the components that they are looking for their own use cases, and then be able to install those components in a self-service manner within within the end. So So this this this not only gives you um a flexibility in terms of

Mohit Saggi: you know the the confidence that you want to build, but but also, uh provides a very easy, intuitive way for for your end users or or analysts uh to be able to. Then, you know, start consuming those components for for their own use cases,

Mohit Saggi: Um! And and just to just to sort of give everybody a high level uh, you know steps on what it takes to build a component it's. It's a very straightforward uh three to four step process, right? So so the first step in the process is obviously uh to download the component

Mohit Saggi: right Once you have downloaded the component. Then, using some of the some of the more popular uh frameworks and and languages you can, You can start building the components

Mohit Saggi: um and Then, once you have build the component uh, you can actually upload that to the server. And then and at that time, you know, uh admins of the of of instance can decide. You know whether to whether to publish those components, to to to their end, users or not, or not. And if

Mohit Saggi: if the components are published, then end users would be able to, um, you know. Look for those components to the marketplace, and they'll be able to install that install those components in a in a quick uh one to two clicks uh, you know manner.

Mohit Saggi: Oh,

Mohit Saggi: and and you know, given given, we are using the the react framework. You you don't have to start from scratch right? So you can. You can use some of the existing libraries, the react visualization libraries that are out there

Mohit Saggi: uh to to to help you, You know, identify the components that you want to build and then download and customize those components for for for your own uh own needs.

Mohit Saggi: Um. So another another key um area, or the feature that that we are, we are enhancing or launching as part of our Q. Three roadmap is the is the enhanced excel uh capabilities, right? And this is this is actually one of my one of my personal favorite.

Mohit Saggi: Um. So if if you, if you are the user of intruder, you know there is a there is a plugin that that that comes with uh, within coda that you can use to build uh, you know, reports and dashboards in in in in in,

Mohit Saggi: but but but on top of it we are actually partnering with, uh! With with another excellent provider uh for excellent plugin provider to to enhance those capabilities. Right? So so. So, in addition to being able to do a quick ad hoc analysis by by simply dragging and dropping

Mohit Saggi: um data fields in in excellent. You would also be able to build some some advanced financial statement type of use cases. Right? So So so this new advance, excellent plugin actually provides a fine brain uh reporting capabilities to which you can.

Mohit Saggi: You can. You can design the reports which are which are not only used for analytics purposes, but it could also be published or shared with the

Mohit Saggi: with, the with the management right? Um! And then you would also have the option uh to to share this report in different ways. Right? So you could. You would have the option to then embed the reports that are that are built using uh excel plugin, and then um, you know, embed that in the dashboard so that users don't have to, you know, toggle between

Mohit Saggi: in in in in the dashboard as well as the the axon.

Mohit Saggi: Um,

Mohit Saggi: you know again the you you would be able to, you know, leverage the existing um apps, or the or the business views that you have built. Right so so so for you for you to be able to leverage or use the the new. That's a bugging.

Mohit Saggi: It doesn't mean that you have to create a new data set or or free architect uh the solutions that you have already made you, we would be actually able to build your excel plugin reports on top of um the data that you have already, uh, you know, ingested and and and curated.

Mohit Saggi: Um, Once once you have built the report, using excel plugin like I said, you would have the option to either publish that through the through, the actual plugin report server, or you would be able to uh publish the report in the dashboard

Mohit Saggi: uh through uh, actually an embedded component that we have built uh specifically.

Mohit Saggi: Now, with that i'm going to have uh Jfong actually gave a quick demo of uh of this enhanced excel capabilities.

Jiefang Zhang: Thank you, Mohit. I'm really excited to show you guys, how to use this excel project. So when you're in, excel you can connect to in quota through this connection dialogue

Jiefang Zhang: you just need to simply type in your Username password, and then you will see the list of data sets available from

Jiefang Zhang: you just need to select one, and then you can go to the Grid designer and the great designer. You can simply see all of the fields available for you to start from. You can drag and drop on the field. You want to further download the channels on and you can drop the filters.

Jiefang Zhang: Okay, you also give define the future value. You can also drag and drop in the measures. In those measures you can select the level of aggregation you want to apply on.

Jiefang Zhang: Once you've done that, you will see the grid be added into the sheet immediately. Know that all those data alive connected to in Carta, and this will be updated automatically. If you want to change any of the fields, simply open the red designer one

Jiefang Zhang: I want to introduce. You can use the slicer to build interactive reports by changing any of the checkbox fields. You can update the values you see in your report.

Jiefang Zhang: Another cool feature I want to introduce is that you can use formula to build a more better formatted layout of the dashboards. So first of all, you can see that

Jiefang Zhang: the data will be sliced based on your formula. And then, if you change your selections, your values will be updated.

Jiefang Zhang: You can also embed lots of dashboards into your report. Another cool thing I want to introduce is that you can embed another sheet, using the viewport within this sheet.

Jiefang Zhang: You can also embed the link to another sheet in a cell. Now i'm clicking the profit. Ah row! And then you're opening the profit statement Notice in Column G. I have embedded an in-cell Chart. That shows you the values.

Jiefang Zhang: Now, as mo he mentioned, you can publish your reports into anywhere you want as a web url

Jiefang Zhang: I now click, publish,

Jiefang Zhang: and then you will see the full sheets that I had in my report, and I can grab the Url to share with others. I'm not going to invite the Url back into Encoder as an insight. First I will select, find the excel components,

Jiefang Zhang: and then, after clicking that, I will see the report I just build in, excel and the insert into the dashboard.

Jiefang Zhang: I use another component sdk called Slicer to dynamically change on the report values for different year.

Jiefang Zhang: Thank you. Wanted

Mohit Saggi: All right. Thank you. Thank you, Jake Fung. Really really exciting stuff, I think

Mohit Saggi: you know. Keep an eye on on this on this enhanced uh excel capabilities that that we will be releasing in in late Q. Three or a week for time five.

Mohit Saggi: Now, another thing that we are all very excited to share. Video is the is the launch of encoder marketplace. Right? So So you know, we we we actually launched a marketplace for data applications in Q. Three

Mohit Saggi: uh, but uh, but then we'll be on the on top of it. We we we will be launching a monitor place for so so so so that you know you would have one place uh that, that you would go in uh to to search and browse all the data applications, all the data components that are either built by in order or by by partners, and then be able to, uh, you know, quickly and easily

Mohit Saggi: uh install those those those data apps and components in your in your own environment. So so this this this given that it's a it's the market base is available within the app.

Mohit Saggi: Um, You know it. It gives a very simple way for anybody to be able to, you know leverage and test and deploy everything that is available through through the marketplace

Mohit Saggi: and and and and for the for the developers or the partners in the audience. Um, you know we would definitely encourage you to to to, to, to to registered on our part in port and and and and um, you know, data apps and components in the marketplace, right? So

Mohit Saggi: you know we have some of the best, some of the best of the breed tools that you can leverage to, to to build these, you know, data components and the marketplace,

Mohit Saggi: you know, from from power bi to tableau to to do excel um enhancements. And then, of course, the the component sdk. And you know there is actually no limit as to what you can build with with these tools. Right? Um, that's what this would also help, you, you know. Generate um revenue. Um, either by

Mohit Saggi: providing out of the box data, app, or components that customers can deploy or or providing your your expert services through through through the marketplace.

Mohit Saggi: Um! And then you would. You would have the option to to to deploy, build everything, and build and define everything natively right. So so you don't have to, you know, worry about, you know, setting up, you know, different solutions or infrastructure uh, to to build the apps and components within the marketplace. You could do all of that

Mohit Saggi: uh, through through our uh partner program and the free trials that we have, and and be able to then build and deploy everything natively within within the platform.

Mohit Saggi: So yeah, So with that, I'm actually going to pass over again to J. Fung to give us a quick demo of the marketplace

Jiefang Zhang: again, really excited. I want to show you how to access marketplace and how you will navigate through the marketplace.

Jiefang Zhang: So there are two ways simply when you're on the homepage of being product, Rec. Connect to data um and quick any of the tiles at the top section, we will come to the marketplace cap, or you can just click the marketplace tab at the top navigation. So in this marketplace, Tab i'm. I'm going to demo you the applications specifically. So you'll see all the applications we have published on this page. On the left hand side you have the categories

Jiefang Zhang: to narrow down your selection, and you can also use the search bar at the top to find your application of entrance by keywords.

Jiefang Zhang: So ah! For popular ah data sources, we prepare two types of applications. One is quick. Start that for you to feel what it is, and we have the full suite. Another use case is, you may have already installed a data app.

Jiefang Zhang: Then you want to expand the use case of the same data source.

Jiefang Zhang: So i'm going to install and the the salesforce application. So first I will see what is inside the salesforce application. I want to see the visual visual representation and a description of what are the key matrix.

Jiefang Zhang: Then I go to on the installation of option and click on it. It will quickly pick off the installation process. The first step for installing the app is to connect to data. I'm going to use the sample source data include providing, and next one.

Jiefang Zhang: And I want to see what exactly is tactic into the data app. So in here we show you the relationships between the tables in this schema. You also have access to business email, and then I will with the load data.

Jiefang Zhang: So here you will visually see how on the each table in this schema is going to be loaded, and then you can see the four steps in the loading.

Jiefang Zhang: Once the data is loaded, you will have access to the dashboard. We've packed it for you. I'm going to open this sample dashboard. See all those sample insights we have provided for you to get started. Of course we know you know the customize. The building reports. That's fine. If you click on the added button. You can simply switch any visualization type if you want,

Jiefang Zhang: for example, as the previous excel plugin example, you can also change different types of visualizations. For example, we have the Kpi.

Jiefang Zhang: Now. Previously I had a single Kpi. I may want to change to do, Kpi, and you want to take a look what is to Kpi, and then simply click the install button. Then this Duke Api will be installed, and then you can directly use that.

Jiefang Zhang: So that's the overview of how you can access marketplace and how you can use the marketplace to enrich your research and to customize the things that we package in our data applications and our component Sdk offering.

Jiefang Zhang: Thank you my head back to you.

Mohit Saggi: It's:

Mohit Saggi: Thanks. So far.

Mohit Saggi: So yeah. So I think we we have some some really really exciting features.

Mohit Saggi: Um! That we have rolled out in in Q. Three uh, if you haven't tried it already. Uh would I encourage you to. Uh, you know, either sign up for a free trial, or or if you are an existing customer, you can always, obviously, you know, upgrade your

Mohit Saggi: your your environments, to the, to, the, to the September release. To to experience these these, these new enhancements

Mohit Saggi: for for partners, so developers in the audience would, would would really help, or, you know, encourage you to to to register on on the partner Portal. If you haven't already, you can do so by by going to partners, Dot Com,

Mohit Saggi: and there you were to find all the information that you need to to get started on the on, the on the marketplace and and and building the data apps and the on the conference.

Mohit Saggi: So with that, I think, uh, we can open it up for Q. A

Louise Westoby: great Thanks, Moh and Jay Feng As a reminder. Please type your questions into the Q and A. Box, and we will address them. Live

Louise Westoby: So first question um

Louise Westoby: or mohit. Do we have any customers that are currently using the data destinations?

Mohit Saggi: Uh yes, we do. Um. We actually have uh multiple plus customers who are using us for uh synapse as well as a black line as data destinations. Um,

Mohit Saggi: so. And And we are actually making a black line destination black man as a data destination.

Mohit Saggi: You know one of the one of the features in the in the upcoming release. Where, uh, you know you would, you would. You would have under the data sources that black line as a destination. And then from there you would be able to easily uh share data with with your own background.

Louise Westoby: great

Louise Westoby: next question for the excel plugging. Can I access more than one cluster? Do I have to swap, manifest, or can I do it via the Ui

Mohit Saggi: um. I think right now you have to swap manifest if I, if I understand correctly. But but again, that's that's using the old plugin. I think I think, with the with the new plugin. You Don't,

Mohit Saggi: I don't think you even need manifest file, and and you you would be actually able to collect your encoder clusters directly, using the using the login method that that G function?

Louise Westoby: Next question. What version will the new excel add in be available in

Mohit Saggi: um. So this is actually not dependent on in coda version. Um, I mean, this is this is a partner solution that we are integrating with in coda. Um. There are some dependencies on on some of the releases, you know, in terms of making sure that

Mohit Saggi: um we have the right Api support for the new excel plugin to be able to connect, to encoder um. But but but once we release it, and we are planning to release this sometime in lovely Q. Four,

Mohit Saggi: you should be able to um use that new plugin uh with some of the holder releases of encoder. So you don't have to lesserly, uh, you know, upgrade to you know the the the twenty twenty-two point ten or uh to do to be able to use it.

Mohit Saggi: So so you should be able to use it with with your with your existing encoder releases, as long as

Mohit Saggi: it meets the the the pre-ex that that are required for that new. That's a plugin to be able to collect in encoder cluster, and then we will. We will be able to clarify all of that in the in the release notes and the document documentation when we, when we actually release the new plugin.

Louise Westoby: Okay, thanks. And just for everybody's reference, Ourq four starts in October. So it's coming up pretty soon. Here.

Louise Westoby: Question here for J. Fong. What's the process to build and publish data apps in the marketplace?

Jiefang Zhang: Okay, Yeah. So we have filled out a awarding process. Basically, you just need to sign up to become a partner, and then we will give you an intro of the entire process

Jiefang Zhang: just a little bit. Ah, about the process. Basically, you will have access to all of the ah resource that you will need to build on the data application, and we will have someone from in quota to assist you during the process.

Jiefang Zhang: And then you will just give the data app package to us. We will help you to publish the data into the marketplace.

Jiefang Zhang: We have already helped a couple of partners to finish this process, and so welcome. Join us, and we will definitely help you to complete the the the journey.

Louise Westoby: And and I would also add to that if you have a partner you love working with, I would encourage them to engage with us as well. Which brings us to our next question. Jay-fong I don't know if you want to take this one as well. But how do I become a partner?

Jiefang Zhang: That's a good question. So in the last slide um here that is the partner portal, and just go there and click, sign up as a partner, and then on the partner team will notified and reach out to you.

Louise Westoby: Good thanks, Jaffa.

Louise Westoby: Next question which version will all these features be available?

Mohit Saggi: Um, So so like, I said, I think the marketplace is. Is there starting twenty-two point nine dot, but it is. It is limited to the data apps.

Mohit Saggi: So we'll be launching components in the marketplace in in only twenty four, which which would be sometime in October, and then we

Mohit Saggi: so the new access plugin like we spoke about is also targeted to come out in in Lq. Four

Mohit Saggi: Um. And and, like I mentioned you don't have to necessarily upgrade to twenty-two. Point two to to use or start using it. You You You you would be able to use that with your with your current portions of Encoder.

Mohit Saggi: Yeah, I think those are the main ones that we talked about. Let me know if there are others. That

Louise Westoby: next question. When will the marketplace be supported by the on-prem version?

Mohit Saggi: Uh good good question. I think I think um

Mohit Saggi: I think there are. There are some dependencies uh on how the the marketplace uh is set up, and and and it requires some of the some of the services or the features that are only available in the cloud.

Mohit Saggi: But uh, but that being said, I mean yes, it it. The on-gr um release is also on our roadmap, Um, and it is something that that we will we will target for for either late this year or or early next year, and at least at least at least have the

Mohit Saggi: at the component marketplace available for the all-time customers, so that you you are able to to leverage and install those components

Louise Westoby: it's about it.

Louise Westoby: Next question. Do you have data apps for people soft? And

Louise Westoby: Teddy?

Louise Westoby: It was

Mohit Saggi: um great question. Good timing. Um. We are actually working on it with one of our partners. Um, And we are actually working, collaborating with partners and one of the customers uh to to to build, to build those data App: So So yeah, So stay tuned

Mohit Saggi: for that. I think we should. We should have something coming out in by end of the scene.

Louise Westoby: Next question, How do we uninstall data apps? I've noticed all new environments come with the online store. So i'd like an easy way to uninstall it.

Mohit Saggi: Yeah. So yeah, the current release does not have that feature. If you would have to sort of go in and manually, uh remove all the objects that were installed as part of the data. But But yeah, we are. We are actually working on adding that feature there,

Mohit Saggi: you know, you would have the option to to all install the data app if you

Mohit Saggi: you don't want to use it. And and I think, Jf: I don't know if you have anything else to add there. But but yeah, that's That's something that we're working on, and it's on our

Jiefang Zhang: Yes, exactly.

Jiefang Zhang: We are also going to provide you with to reinstall. If you have in stock funds, and you want to override the existing installation. You can do that. That's also on our Roadmap

Louise Westoby: um. It's kind of a follow up comment here around the effect of an install on data lineage. Is that something or a lineage report specifically? Um, maybe that's something we need to address in a further, Webinar. But let me know if you have any other thoughts on that moment.

Mohit Saggi: Um. So. So if I understand correctly, the question is, if you, if you on install a data app. Would that also update all the metadata behind the scenes?

Louise Westoby: I think it's just. Ah, the the feedback was. It's a good idea to be able to and to install uninstall. So it doesn't affect the lineage report. So I don't know there's any any other comments that you have there.

Mohit Saggi: Yeah. Yeah. So So yeah. So I think you know, once once we have that an install option. Then yes, if you uninstalled something,

Mohit Saggi: it will, It will also ensure that all the metadata behind the scene is updated, and and the data lineage would would show the the right limit of that piece.

Louise Westoby: So it will not show any of the any of the objects that are uninstall or removed from the from the environment.

Louise Westoby: Uh next question, can I deploy in quota on azure cloud.

Mohit Saggi: Ah,

Mohit Saggi: yes, I know. So so we we have an offering on on agent marketplace, which is, which is more of a you know what we call a an on-prem offering. So essentially what it is. Is

Mohit Saggi: you you, you, you, you! You can take the on prem um version of encoder, and then deploy it on on a on a Vm. In in as a cloud, using your using your own uh subscription of the for the account. Id

Mohit Saggi: um it. It obviously does not provide all the all the performance and and and um scalability features that that that comes along with the with with like a a a proper cloud on release.

Mohit Saggi: So so. But but that is something that we are working on next right. So so, in addition to having a Sas offering, where everything is sort of managed or fully managed by encoder. We are also releasing an offering in a

Mohit Saggi: Uh which would be built, using the cloud architecture right? So you would be able to leverage all the scalability and the performance features that that come along with the cloud. But you would still have the option to leverage or use your own account. Id or the subscription Id So it is. It is similar

Mohit Saggi: uh model to what you have, what you might have seen with some of the other vendors, where you sort of bring your own license or your own. Add your license, and we just leverage that license to to deploy in quota. But again, that's the difference between the current offering, which is one plan based versus

Mohit Saggi: what we are working on next is the is, the is, the the the next. The next release of azure offering would have all the scalability features that that come along with the with with like a proper cloud demand.

Louise Westoby: All right, thanks, Mohit.

Louise Westoby: So I think that is all the questions we have today. Um, please join me in thanking Jiefang and Mohit for their sharing their time and their expertise. Don't forget to spin up a free Incorta Cloud Trial at https://cloud.incorta.com/signup
